I recently put crossover steering on my rig, and bumpsteer has been nixed and full turning has been restored. There is one thing I want to solve though. When I am not moving and I turn the wheel, the body rolls a little bit. While I cant tell if its doing it when I am driving, I am pretty damn sure it does it then. What causes this? What will stop it? Sway bar? Track bar?

when the pitman arm turns, it pushes (or pulls)the frame away from the steering knuckle along the drag link. this should not an issue at speed becuase the wheels will "roll away" from the force. but standing still...

I had about the same problem on my Dodge. It would roll when going around a street corner and at a stop. Turned out to that the u-bolts had stretched and the axle was loose. Couldn't find the problem in the shop with the axle on stands a going through everything I thought that could be loose. I found it by standing beside it and turning the wheel.

My highsteer/crossover'd Toyoa does the same thing you describe, and everything is tight. I had a buddy turn the wheel while I watched the front end, and it's simply doing what Sundowner described - the steering pushing/pulling the frame. Kinda weird, but you get used to it.

As he said, it doesn't happen when the tires are rolling and can shift - only when parked. Of course, you wouldn't notice it moveing because the body roll would hide it.
