I'd be interested in some pictures of some ignition/switch panels yall have. My XJ is developing some annoying electircal problems that I'm needing to address. The original ignition switch actually works just when it wants(talk about ruining the cool level when your junk won't start back on the trail:flipoff2: ) Then when I tilt the column it must pinch a wire because it will not start or shut off unless the column is tilted full up:shaking: Mostly wondering if anyone has relocated to a toggle and push start for power. I'll go with something from 12voltguy but honestly ain't a electrical genius. How could I take the ignition tumbler/switch out of the column and make it into a non-locking steering column. The dash is getting stripped out along with any unnesscary wiring and there is a shit pot load of it. Appreciate it

I'm still working on mine but I've got 12voltguy cutting me a panel and then it will have a gauge and some 4x4mods switches in it.

12voltguy has some pretty nice panels on his page, especially some of the custom ones he's done.

If you want a keyed ignition switch to mount in the dash you can buy them at a semi parts story. I work for an International dealer and the switch with lock cylinder and 2 keys is about $40.00. Yoi could still run a seperate starting switch to be cool....:flipoff2:

All I know is I would hate to make it too easy to start, otherwise Lance and Camo could sneek it out for a joyride.:D
