: Killerblazer Rebild again
killerblazer 03-25-2008, 05:02 PM Well, sheet metal is always my problem with getting shit done. I would get to a sick spot and I would here that evil noise sheet metal being crushed. Well the body has been done 2 times and hopefully for the last. Check out what I have done. This was done on Easter day and the day before I had two great guys helping me.
killerblazer 03-25-2008, 05:16 PM All the sheet metal was removed the rear Q's were chopped off where I thought would work for me. We started to bend the tubing, but everything was not a bend that was every day. I was trying to follow the hood also trying to make it look as clean as posiable.I love how it's comming out so far.
Joe_88k5 03-25-2008, 05:51 PM Well it's about time!!! That sheetmetal should have come off long ago. Can't wait to see it when it's done. Hopefully I'll be able to check it out at the spring RC ride.
BigOl'Flatbed 03-25-2008, 06:37 PM that is a sickkk blazer. nice
Stockk5 03-25-2008, 11:25 PM i remember seeing this truck on the cover of four wheeler.... me and my bro droooolled over it forever... still really nice work
Tim84K10 03-25-2008, 11:35 PM I remember it on the cover of Four Wheeler as well. Do you have any close up pics of your suspension?
aaronr10 03-26-2008, 03:13 PM I think it would look even better than it does now with some skins. You could always make em removable to avoid hearing that crunch sound that I've become used to. Keep the progress going. subscribed.
killerblazer 03-26-2008, 04:59 PM Thank's guys, Joe you will be following the same path sooner or later along with the guys that push the full size trucks to the max. The shit just gets in the way. Aaronr10 the front clip will have sheet metal on the inside so it will not be touched by anything, I had thought of removable panels, but the time always comes, I will not hit anything and there it is a huge dent. For me this is the best way I can push the bitch as hard as I want now, and not worry about anything. I think of this as one step down from a full buggie. The bitch went good before I think it will simply kick ass now.Tim here is some pics.

Yeah the truck is actually already on it's way. It's getting a new frame this year and loosing a lot of sheetmetal. I've got about 200 feet of tube in the garage waiting to be added onto the cage, custom doubler, 1 ton axles... etc. Should be done in a couple years, all depends on the cash flow.
jeepgif 03-26-2008, 09:48 PM Nice...
You going to paint it all red again?
I hope to see you run it at RC.
My junk is just about done. I still have some details to work out.
I have been busy working on my barn, so the J truck has been on hold.
Keep posting the pics!

mattmey 03-28-2008, 09:03 AM It's starting to look more and more like Wade's. More tube and less sheetmetal.

Ya, I know, but you know what kind of shit we get into. I would of liked to keep the panels and trust me I had to do some deep down thinking. Do I pussy foot it or do I kick it in the ass, and run the panel down along that tree-rock? Well the want to go part won me over. I hope the right thing was done.
killerblazer 03-29-2008, 03:47 PM Got some stuff done today, Rear pull point and body mounts done. Got the sheet metal in and in primer. Along with the head lights and front turn signals in.The front fender I think should have something like a body line I don't know i'm go to have to think about it.

aaronr10 03-31-2008, 08:14 AM Turned out looking nice. Almost looks like skins with the panels in and all painted up. Still looks like a Blazer.:smokin:

Ya I'm going to put as much as I can on the site,it's hard when it's a free site:D The springs were all taken apart and ground on the sides so just the centers were touching. They worked really well. The backs were another problem they would W with the over load leaf out so I 4 linked it and glad I did. But keep what works for you and don't be affraid to try differant things.
killerblazer 04-03-2008, 04:54 PM ha your shit was in fourwheeler wanst it?
Ya, the shit was in there 3 different times, 2 times on the cover and one time in side. I was always in the right place at the right time.
hybrid-theory 04-03-2008, 07:34 PM I was always in the right place at the right time. Or maybe your lips were on a certain photographers cock!:D:laughing::eek:

killerblazer 04-06-2008, 04:27 PM Here's a few pics of Sat at Sportys. Due to camera problems and no body else having one I did not get any pics of Sun thats when we cut a trail out.Sportys was just a hill climb that was suppose to be mud but it ended up to be about 2-3 foot of snow in places plus lots of ice.
killerblazer 04-06-2008, 04:40 PM A few more. The axel is a dana 60 from the green chevy. He got stuck half way up and tryed to front dig in three foot of snow.

bWiLKINS 04-09-2008, 02:49 PM Looks awsome, I like the fact that you kept the stock grille/headlights as well.
killerblazer 04-09-2008, 05:03 PM Looks awsome, I like the fact that you kept the stock grille/headlights as well.
Thanks I really wanted to keep the only thing that was somewhat stock. Performance was my main goal. :D
hybrid-theory 04-09-2008, 06:57 PM The ole girl performs now:D
bWiLKINS 04-10-2008, 01:37 PM Thanks I really wanted to keep the only thing that was somewhat stock. Performance was my main goal. :D
Haha very understandable....Every time I walk around my K25 I realize how really un-wheelable it is because of its sheer size.
killerblazer 04-10-2008, 05:01 PM The ole girl performs now:D
We will see in a few weeks Wade when we goto RC.:D Bwilkins nothing is unwheelable. Just take your time and find a spotter you trust. Unless the spot you are going into is narrower than the rig you are driving. Are you going to get body damage, ya probably but thats the sport and thats why I went the route I did. What i'm saying push your rig as hard as you can without breaking thats what makes it the great sport we do.
