OK, first if anyone knows of a better spot to find this info, point it out and I'll delete.. couldn't think of a better place to ask than here.
I am attempting to install an old Holley 2-bbl EFI on the small engine, it will have to do until I get the BigMotor in place. So if this is a crappy setup it will just have to work for a little while.
First, I'm trying to identify what I have. Nothing but a pump, brain box, throttle body unit and wiring harness. The TB is a 2 barrel unit with 2 1/16 bores.
The brain box says "Fuel Controller manufactured for Holley by MSD." There is a sticker on the bottom, "2920". I assume this is the model number. It doesn't say Pro-Jection on any of the components but I assume all Holleys no matter how old were still Pro-Jection.
Can't find anything on the web about it. I'm really just looking for a wiring schematic or a write-up on an install to make sure I'm not missing more parts. It looks like I also need a Y in the fuel line at the throttle body and who knows what else.
Also there are two subharnesses @ 6 wires each out of the computer, and five adjustment screws, choke, accel, idle, mid, and power.
Any help?

Oh yeah, one last thing- it looks like I'm missing an adapter to fit the TB to any style of manifold, 2 or 4-bbl. Probably have to fab an adapter to fit it to a square bore manifold unless someone has one gathering dust?

Looking at it closer.
One of the harnesses off the computer obviously goes to the TB unit. The other must be power, ground, whatever sensors I don't have, etc. The colors, in order, are brown, gray, blue, black, yellow, pink.

There is actually alot of info to know, if I were you I would get the manual. Holley sent me one free fo charge. I have the manual at home if you have some specific quesitons.

Well, maybe. I don't even know what model this is. I think it's a 502-20?
If you have a 502-20 and I'm describing it, let me know. I found some instructions for that model, well a copy of the whole manual really. But, if that's not what is sitting here, then who knows.
My main concern is whether I'm wasting my time. The guy it came from said it works fine, he didn't like having to mess with the adj. screws all the time. But someone put a piece of tape on the back of the module and wrote on it "no pulse to injector on orange wire". Install or wiring harness problem, I don't know- or maybe the ECU doesn't even work. No idea. I'm just trying to make do with what I have.
From the instructions I found online it needs a temp sensor, which I don't have. I'm really reaching here- maybe someone with this model (whatever is is) could measure temp sensor impedance cold, then fully warmed? I could probably find one that would work with that info.

I have gone thru my manual over ten times and still it requires more tuning. very complicated. read the manual a few times b4 u install. good luck! i think you have the digital pro-jection 2-d. frank

You have one of the first generation Holley analog setups.
Best thing to do is call Holleys tech support on the phone and try to get a mannual from them. 270-781-9741 7:00-5:00 C.T. weekdays.
Be prepaired to be on hold for about a half hour.

their pretty simple to set up I used to have one so I can be a litte help:D . Fuel pressure is real important w/ it you will probley have to play w/ it to get tuned right. Also the stock fuel pump that comes with it is junk. It's 12psi I think but the base line is 14.? if I rember correctly. Also check the wires at the Injector the pervious owner of mine soldered them b/c he said that they were always coming lose. Oh one final point make sure that you have good grounds and power leads as interfearance from cb's ect. will kill it.
