Curious about smog?

So im gunna be moving to az in 6-8 months or so and Im wondering how much more lax are the smog laws there? main reason I ask I have an FJ60 that im trying to sell right now to get money for the fast approaching wedding and honeymoon. any way the smog ref is of no help to me and i have 2 issues with the visual check and it's really starting to get stupifying. so if i can't sell it im thinking non op then re reg when i get to az? is there a visual there or is it just the sniffer?

in maricopa county there is a visual inspection. i'm fairly confident there's no way in hell my cj will ever pass. the engine is older than the jeep.

It depends on where you are in AZ, some area's have no emissions.
Tucson/Phoenix do.

In tucson I have passed with an 88 jeep with a 1979 Chevy 350 running on propane, so the visual inspeciton is no biggie, only the sniff test. They would fail it if I didnt have a cat on it, and if the exhuast was a kickdown rather then going to the rear bumper.
