: Radius arm bushing/bracket interchange?

Somebody straighten me out here... aren't there differences in size that prevent 78/79 Bronco radius arms from being used in 80+ brackets?

I thought the studs on the arms were different diameters and the holes in the brackets were a different design, and that kept you from mixing and matching. Any ideas?

I think the differences are negligible. I can help with one part of the puzzle. I happen to have these pictures handy.

This is the "dougnut" from a 74 bronco....they come tack welded to the actual bracket that's an additional 1/4".

And we know the early bronco radius arms are interchangable with 78-79.

This is a 77 f150 radius arm with the bushings from my 95 bronco's old TTB. Both studs are 3/4" dia. I don't know why they wouldn't inter-change.

Hey Matt.

The studs on yours are the same between the two arms? That's good news. I tried to piece that link back together, but it's butchered pretty well. I didn't see a photo on your registry page anywhere, either.

BTW -- What have you figured out for the track bar?

sorry about the link. I fixed it.
on the track-bar, I ordered an adjustable one and will fab up a mount once it's all in place.
Thanks.

this is good to know seeing as how i spent 2 hrs yesterday in a junkyard pulling radius arms off a 79 bronco for use in the SAS on my `95 F150. Superlift adjustable track bar came in yesterday along w/ energy suspension poly C bushings. Almost got all the parts, woohoo!
