Does anyone know the amount of atf needed when dropping the tranny pan (deep pan) & replacing the filter?
The manual I have says 15.7 qts for a complete refil, however I couldn't figure out how to drain the torque converter. Also, I made such a mess of things, I couldn't measure how much fluid I drained. :homer:
This is for a 1995 Ford 7.5L engine in a Fleetwood RV.
Thanks, Bob

I really dont know what you are talking about, but if you put it in, there is this cool stick that you can put down the tube under the hood, and it tells you how much more you need to put in.

Haha.... that's been done.
Was wondering if anyone knew what the exact amount.
Thanks for your suggestion.

I put in exactly 21L in my E350 after a BD Power deep trans pan. That included the torque converter.

The torque converter drain is a pipe plug. You have to get the engine to stop at a point where its accessible.

stock converters had drain plugs on them you just have to rotate the converter until you find it, be aware it may not be there.

In my F350 I put 4 gallons in with a converter drain and the stock 4wd pan.
