: Klune question!

I am running a t-18 and a np 205, and 488 gears, I am going to be running 42 inch tires soon and would like to be lower geared but unfortunitly they do not make a low gear kit for the 205. Was wondering if the klune went in between the 205 and the t-18 and what the over all length of the three together would be compared to what I have now.

Basically does the klune take the place of the 6 inch adapter type thing between my t-18 and 205?

Thanks

Or possibly another route, do they make atlas's to fit to a t-18 without adapters?

From what I understand *IF* they make a Klune-V unit for your tranny/transfer combo it would replace the stock adapter (I believe) And their units are between 6.5-7.5" I *BELIEVE*

PS: if you e-mail klune-V they might give you better info. I had good luck getting info when I e-mailed them about what I was wanting...but never ordered due to price....

I am also in discussion with Klune about putting their unit in a CJ-7 with a Turbo 350/NP 205. Mine is the 10 spline 205 which requires an adapter. If you have a later model 205 it may not depending on the transmission side. I considered the Atlas route but would really like to keep the 2:1 low range capability. I'd be real interested in what you end up doing and how it turns out. Keep us posted!
