Many guys have done this. Try PM'ing scwafish or mas2. Brent at Trail Tough has all of the wiring loom conversion kits, speedo/computer mods he'll sell you.

8V engines are MUCH easier, as the dweeb at the local ARCO, or even a test only station can't spot the subtle visual differences....

Or easier, just register your vehicle using SCAWFISH's address so you dont have to smog it, and he'll send you the paperwork when it arrives ( Or maybe he'll be real nice & just pay & send it in for you... )

He's a nice enough guy, he would probably do that for ya. Just send him the pink slip along with the rest of your paperwork (lol) . We could use some good parts cars around here :D
