Ok im in Aus and this is prob the first New Process transfer i have looked at it is fitted behind a T400 in a mates Toyota Dual cab with an Aussie GM(holden) 5ltr. The problem is it has a slip yoke output and i was wondering if there is a conversion available to fit the fixed yoke to it?

I have searched "np208" and couldnt find anything on this.

Jeep full size trucks came with the 208 with a fixed yoke. Look into that.

Thanks i was more looking to keep the case thats in there and fit a fixed yoke to it. These are not a common thing in Australia. i wouldn't even know what a full size jeep looked like or where in Aus i would find one.

Also Fullsize Ford Bronco from 1980-1986 had a fixed yoke NP-208. I know you want a conversion kit but I don't think one exists. No matter what you'll have to disassemble the t-case to swap the outputs anyway so just get the donor parts from an old t-case and go for it.

We only get one type of Ford Bronco here in those years is there a difference with a fullsize Bronco?

The fullsize bronco looks like a F-150 from the doors to the front bumber. the small Bronco II is based on the Ranger mini-pickup.
The Bronco II came out around '84.

They both will have a TTB scissor front end ( not solid axle).

You want the Big Bronco. F-150 of the same era have a slip yoke on the ones I've come across in the junk yards. So I believe it is Big Bronco only that had the fixed yoke for Ford NP-208.

Good luck.

Thanks Eric we didnt get the Bronco II then. I will look around for a fullsize. Will the Ford Tcase bolt up to the rear of this T400 as if it will it will make it much easier?

If you rig is passenger drop then I think the thing to do is Split the cases and just use the parts from the Ford to get the short fixed shaft. the problem is the Fords in the USA are driver drop and I assume the are the same in Australia.

Good luck.

I think the easiest thing to do may be to find an adapter to use your old Toyota transfer case. I don't really see any advantage to keeping the 208 in there. It may even cost just as much to get all the parts to make the 208 work.

Is there an adapter available for a 4wd T400 box to a toy case? We only have them available for 2wd T700Rs over here.
If we could go back to a toy case that would be cool as he wanted to go dual case but he knows nothing about 4wds and didnt realise it had a NP208 fitted when he bought it.

And yes it is a passenger drop case.

Actually, I just checked with Advance Adapters and they don't make one for a th400. They make them for th350s and 700r4s though. I guess my idea is no good.

I thought Jess @ Highangle Driveline (http://www.highangledriveline.com) was working on a fixed yoke set up for gm 208's. Didn't see anything specifically on his site, though. Might give him a call or e-mail.
