spwest2 07-13-2002, 09:22 PM have a great setup installed and running it this eve i notice it gets way hot. i mean you can not even touch the compressor after filling two tires. is it ok to be this hot? i do run some oil in it from time to time but what might keep it running cooler. do i worry or not? shawn spwest2 07-14-2002, 06:14 AM btt Funkel 07-14-2002, 07:49 AM Mine runs so hot it will immediately boil water if you pour some on it. I fill it with oil every few months and its been running fine for well over a year. Seth wanderingwillys 07-14-2002, 10:21 AM I built an oiler that ciculates compressor oil thru the compressor and even after running it for 10 min or so (painted my jeep with it) you could touch it; just not leave your hand there for too long - pretty hot - not boiling water hot though Matt | |
