Is there anything wrong with mounting a johnny joint like this for a upper control arm for a 3 link? (bottom left corner picture). I was planning on mounting it that way way and then making my mount adjustable at the axle end. would this limit my droop or down travel (if the upper arm was level wouldnt it only allow the upper arm to go downwards 15 degrees or so?) or is this more common mounting style then I think it is? im just figuring with building mounts/buying mounts it would be easier to do it this way.

thanks for the help,

Ty

I dont think that it will create a problem but if it does just fab up a bracket to roll the joint upright I think you are fine though

Well, typically they give you the angular misalignment of the joint.

Take that along with the length of your link and determine if you will have enough down travel before binding occurs. I personally would never mount a joint that way, I know people do it and it works, just my preference.
