So i posted earlier about my 350 running hot. I think i have narrowed it down to either the fuel system or ignition as being the problem. The engine runs constantly hot and when i went to time it the timing mark was jumping up and down, The engine was put in in 97 new all the other components have 150000mi on them. Any idea what would go out around that milage. I replaced the fuel filter a few months ago. Any ideas? Thanks for the help,.

I am wondering about the timing jumping around. ??? Did you have the little connector unplugged when you went to time it? This keeps the timing from moving around so you can set the static timing.

Well when "I" Timed it it was actually my friend and i believe he had it hooked up correctly but maybe i'll try it again. Thanks,
