: Parts-Store 14"x5" Paper Air Filter?

Does anybody know of a part number or stock application for a 14"x5" round air filter? I'm just looking for a good stock-replacement type like a Napa Gold or Baldwin paper filter, and no place I've been able to find has them listed by dimensions, only applications. The Autozone guy was equally unhelpful for the same reason. I did find a couple from Summit, but the cheapest one was $17 (plus $12 handling), and having to order air filters is a PITA.

And before somebody suggests it, no, I don't want a K&N or any other serviceable aftermarket filter. I want to be able to just change the thing for $5 when it gets dirty, and I don't trust the filtering abilities of the gauze filters in an offroad environment. I do a lot of high-speed gravel-roading, and that super-fine gravel dust gets everywhere. I have K&Ns on my bike, but a truck is a different deal. Plus, even a paper 14"x5" filter will flow more than enough air for my 400. Anyway, I'm not looking to start a debate, I just want to find a common, economical source for replacement parts.

why 5"

No particular reason other than I want to run the largest filter I can for the sake of filter service life and airflow (mainly when the filter starts to get dirty). I could run a 4" but a 5" will easily fit so if there is one out there, I might as well use it.

Already tried that...no luck. I found a 12"x5" but no 14"x5". They might have had a 14"x3" or 4", but I didn't pay much attention. At that point I was still thinking, "whatever, I'll just look up a part number on the computer..." :shaking:

I'll keep that in mind if I don't have any luck with the 5". Thanks.

Don't think I have ever seen a 14x5 air filter for any stock application. The BB Suburban mentioned above is the largest one I know of.

Yeah, that's what I'm starting to think. I spent an hour on Napa's site last night sifting through pages of random air filters. I found plenty that were 14x4 and 12x5, but no 14x5 so I'm guessing they aren't a stock part. If anybody knows different, pipe up.

Update: After spending more time than anybody should hunting friggin' air filters, I gave up and got a 14"x4". Again, if anybody knows of a stock application for a 14x5, post 'er up, but at this point, I don't think there is one.

Thanks for the replies.
