How safe are these gussets? Essentially, I'm getting tired of notching tubing and would prefer something that I can just weld in place. I'm wondering if they are strong enough or should I stick to tubing?

They will work just fine, just dont mount them in the middle of the tube( 0- ) as the gusset will work like a can opener and punch into the tube under stress. Mount them to a side ( 0_ ).
