alright, i have searched, but have not found. i was wondering the actual diameter of a 37" claw. i have heard that these run small, so i was just wandering if anybody knew. and how do you guys like claws on rocks?? oh yeah bias ply, not radials.

Well duh, how about checking MTs website, they, like all other tire mfrs., have the tire actual sizes listed. Here's the bias claw page:
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/baja_claw.html .
BTW, MT says the 37 are a true 37.

i know that MT says it is an actual 37, but i have read on this board that the 35s are not actual 35s, so i just wanted to know if that was the case with the 37s also.

Well, most tire companies claim their tires measure up.

I would beleive they are true when someone actually measured them

Totally 100% wrong. Try BFGs or Intercos websites, many of the tire size they have they list as actual size being smaller. So the above is totally false.

Try again. If you would do a search on Interco tire measurements you would realize that their numbers are a bit off, usually taller than they actually measure. As is the case with most tire companies. These people(reddwarf, Vu14TJ) are not making this up.

I've sold several sets of the 35's and they do run small.
I personally run a set of 38.5's and they actually run 39.5 when aired up to 30 psi.
I have sold 1 set of the 37's but didn't get a chance to measure them because the customer picked them up bare.
As far as your other questions, I love them on the rocks and in loose dirt and sand better than any other tire iv'e run. (BFG MT, Kelly Safari, TSL, TSL SX, Bogger)
The Bogger is still better in the mud, but then again what is.

A buddy of mine had the 35" Claws that measured 34" at 25 psi on a 10" wheel

I am not a fan of these tires at all.

I've been running the 35" Baja Claws for a long time now. I can tell you for a fact, they only measured about 33 1/4" brand new, mounted and aired up on 10" rims. They're still a damn tough tire though. I've run em on the Con, at the Hammers, and Fordyce. They show little wear and suprizingly little damage. At 4-5 lbs on both 10" and 8" rims, I've never blown a bead either. They don't stick on the rocks quite as good as say, a Swamper. But they still do a pretty damn good job and they have some awesome side-biters... I also recently bought the 37" MTR's and they measure about 36"... :D:D:D

This seems to be a reoccuring theme w/ Mickey Thompson, and their tires. A friend of mine had some 36" MT Baja Belted tires and they measured out to about 33.25 inches.

well, i am kinda stuck either the 37" claw, or a 36" swamper of some kind (SX or TSL). i dont do mud, but there is like wet sandy muck where i wheel, and the MTRs always get caked up and slip on the rocks. there are a few muddy climbs, so that is why i kinda want some swampers. just kinda torn between the those few tires.

Run the straight up 36x12.5 Swamper TSL

My buddy has 35" Bias Claws and they measure to just over 33" on an 8" rim at 30psi

I run 35" bias claws. They run just over 33"
I love them.

I'd buy'em again if they made them in a true 38".

Love those sidewalls!!!!!!
