Well the next ERoCC will be here in 12 days and "ALL" i have left to do is build full roll cage, install fuel tank, line locks, winch and mount, rear crossmember, re-route exhaust, and tow points. Not too much to do really! :rolleyes: So anyone else in the same predicament?

Bob, I dont know if i am in much better shape. I have to build rear 4 link, install coilovers, install fuel cell (if i find one that fits), change tires, fix t-case from last ERoCC event, get new rear driveshaft made and maybe get in a test drive before July 26th. I think I can get it done in time. I've got 264 hrs until we have to tech in Friday.If you take out time for work (8 hrs a day) gives me 176 hrs to work on Jeep. NO PROBLEM!!! See ya in July Rocky

The legends CJ that "rkcrawl" is bringing is complete. I just need to get his spare driveshafts cut. We have a practice run next weekend and will be sure to post picks. Nothing special for the practice, just some bigass FL rocks.......... UHHHHHH............ WHAT?............ That's right, FL rocks. (I work for a mining company :D)

Well its 1:50 AM and just got back from a 16 hour day!! and i only fawking got a jd2 bender floor mount made and mounted. (dull bits suck) granted i did actually work for 8 hours and drank some beer :beer: for about 4 hours. tomorrow gonna build the cage! I hope! hehe

All in all, not too bad: Grenaded a manual hub, an axle shaft ujoint, and my roller fairlead :( Oh and I flopped it too :D. Now that we have THAT out of the way... Look out EROCC! (Pix when Bigdude posts them...)

Bahahaha. I'll let Bigdude respond to that. Turns out it wasn't the hub that blew up on the passenger side, rather it was the stub shaft. Looks like I am putting both Warn alloy stubs in today.

Sounds like everyone is doing the same. Coilovers sound nice Rocky! I've got the Atlas out because I broke the ears off the back of the 700r-4 and I got some new sheetmetal from the rollover(the one that all the legends guys made). I'm putting those 17" gy's that everyone is bashing with trailreadys(if they ever get here). I might shorten a little also. All in a nights work.

I told you those Superwinch hubs were tough. So far I've seen two stubshafts go before those hubs were phased (60 & 44)

He couldn't climb his drivers side tire and we needed to pivot the ass end toward the driver-side to get a better approach at the rock. He threw it in rear 2Lo and was spinning the rears, needless to say he dropped a wheel in about a 4ft hole and flopped over. Not much we could do. All of the sudden the tires bit, pulled the Jeep back and into the hole, and it flopped. Hardly took anything to get it back over. Might've been able to push it over or drive out in a competition setting.

Jim I think two light tack welds with your 110 on the 297 caps will help (since there was a joint fialure). If not due to the $$$ alloy stubs, maybe we could track down some full circle retaining clips? (anybody with a part # for the clips?)

Do you think the stub has anything to do with the chamber being off a little? I thought if that was the case then the hub would've gone, not the stub.

I think I have the full circle clip part# with the install instructions for the alloy stubs. Problem is I need them ASAP... so I can get the front back together.

The pside is definitely the worse of the two. I should have the bushings tomorrow or tuesday, so I think I will install it and that will take and side loading off the stub/ujoint/hub. Its also possible that the stub was just tired. The guy I bought the donor CJ from built a decent jeep but couldn't drive, so he beat on them...

Well still working on the cage. all i should have left to do is weld it up and make frame tie in points. gonna finish the tank today and tomorrow it goes to the exhaust shop. fawk i'm tired already!

My list keeps getting longer! :D Turns out I ripped the anti-wrap bar off yesterday too! Not enough welder the first time... Its fixed now. If it comes off now, I've got serious troubles in the rear axle area.

Holy shit that sucks about the inner shaft and your shocks. I didn't think the tubes were dented enough to bind them :(

I'm not even thinking what Kelley is saying to you about the inner shafts and CTMs :eek: I hope you're keeping that quiet :D I'll bring my fairlead to the comp incase of another mishap.

Ok, mine is almost ready. Just need to hook up the rear line-lock and get the rear drive shaft made along with spares for the drive shafts and axle shafts. See everyone this weekend...

The major thing is a long throw front shaft. I did a shackle reversal with the scout dana 44 and at full droop the shaft is about 3"-4" to short. As far as spares, inner and outer scout axles.

Well everything was going great, until i fired the jeep up and the gas tank started leaking gas everywhere. fawkers didn't weld the fuel fittings to the stainless properly. so i missed my exhaust appointment. which means i can't get my shit done ! fawk this sucks ass.
