I'm swapping in a chevy D60 and upgrading to crossover steering at the same time. Has anyone done this with the Banks sidewinder turbo installed on a 6.2 rig. I'm not sure how I'm going to get around the exhaust cross-pipe in front of the engine. I can post a picture if that would help.

Call SKY Manufacturing and tell them what you have and are doing. They will custom make whatever you need.

Keep up to date cause I'm doing the same swap soon. I have a 90 burban 6.2 no turbo. Just having problem chasing parts because I've been busy.

This project will be on hold for a few months. I'm just trying to get all the details figured out. I like to plan it all out to the fullest extent possible to find problem areas. I'll keep you updated though.

Ya mines been on hold after a trail oop's. Lots of spat out parts. I'm going to drill and tap a 2 x 4 box for hydro assist also. I'll post what I get done and we'll go from there.

we put a banks sidewinder on a cucv blazer w/1tons and ORD X-over. Had to take the rig to an exhaust shop to get a pipe made for the crossover piece. it took them all day just to make it and try to keep clearance on everything

Was it an issue of the drag link or the pitman arm coming in contact with the exhaust?

friend had a cucv truck that he took the 6.2 into a 6.5 and put a banks kit on it. I remember he had to modify his pitman arm a little and built his own crossover pipe.

draglink needed to be in the same place the crossover pipe went through. i have a sidewinder on my 6.2 cucv crew cab and it kicks ass, but its stock height. if i find some springs for cheap to free i'll lift it and do crossover like your doing, but its really just my junk get around truck to keep miles off my dodge

What about using the fabtech pitman arm with the 4 inch drop for a 78 Ford. has anyone used that?
