a used double hydraulic ram, and I would like to know who makes it so I could buy some new seals and find out if parts are readily available.

how do I find out who the manufacture is?

I Don't see any numbers marking or anything on it. sadly! otherwise I wouldn't have asked.

here is a picture, not the best but...

TO me I think it is a forklift cylinder. but I dunno...

It looks to me to have home made links on it, they dont look beef at all so I am gonna make some new ones and bigger better hiems.

Most manufacturers of rams don't make their own seals. On most seals there will be a # and usually a designation as to who the manufaturer is. Once you find this # call a bearing supply warehouse...such as King bearing and drive. Good Luck

I'll bet a decent hydraulics shop can take the seals and cross reference them for replacements.

Thanks guys,

I guess I will find a local dealer and see what they say.

the reason I am asking is there are 3 very minor knicks on the shaft ( driver side )

Want to know if the shaft is fixable or just replace it, but is the part available?

I think that if I take some emery cloth to it, and lighty debur it, it should be fine!!!

or at least I hope.

all I need to buy now is hydro steering valve and column, then measure up for hydro lines.

THe price I paid on the Ram and hi steer arms was very very very cheap... more then $55 but less then $65 haha

the hi steer arms are 1 inch cnc machined arms who makes them I dunno... but doesnt mater they are nice.

Honestly Adam, I'm not even sure they've got stores out this way. They're HUGE in the midwest and could be considered a regular stop for all kinds of reasons. I'll have to look them up and see if they're franchised out this way.

And yeah, I've got both Carharts and flannel shirts from them.

Nah, nothing close. Just looked them up. Stores in NM, TX, and CA but nothing out in the desert. Didn't mean to waste anyone's time.

Your TSC's must be alot better than ours, It would be insane to bring something like that into them.
