What truck is best for me?

I am looking for a truck I can take to the dunes, tow a quad in the bed (not while wheeling) and be able to gun-it through the desert at fairly high speeds, without it feeling like I dont even have suspension at all.

I cannot do this in my k10 silverado, but would a prerunner or something be better for me than this truck?

I would build a modified K10 silverado. Yep. For the money you are going to spend it really doesn't matter what you start with.
