Hi Guys,

Ive been trawling all over the web trying to find the answer but cannot anywhere, so thought this would be the best place to ask as you guys probably have the most experience with this size of tire..

Im looking to putting in my order in the next week or so, but im not sure which one to go for..

i want to run a 37" tire. but a true 37"...

how tall does a 37x13x15 Bogger measure?

only reason i ask, is because the set of 37x13.50x16 maxxiss creepy crawler i have only measures 35" when sat on the truck.

is it the same story with interco tires? and if so would i be better going for the 38.5x15x16's? what do they actually measure?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

if you put about 50psi in them just about any 37" tire should measure its rated size with the weight on it. tires are measured with no weight on them usually at max inflation. a true 37 will measure 35.5-36 at trail pressure. a true 40 would probaly measure around 37" at trail pressure.

37" iroks suck at 36" and baloon shaped, 38 and 38.5 sx's are 37 and 37.5 respectively and are a good choice, I love my trepadors, with 2-3 psi in them they measure 36.75 and have huge lugs, couldnt be happier with a 37" tire.

This is odd because I've read that a 36x13.5 irok actually stands at 36.8 inches tall mounted.

i have been running swammpers on my sami. and hate them.:mad3: the truck is not heavy enough for them. Intrco has put out a new tire in the last few months:cool:. Its the SS-M16. have not seen any out on the trail yet.

i will be switching to the maxxis creepy cwralers. i have access to the comp issue stuff. the 37" is a great tire, they will hold up my rig with just 2psi in them but flex well out on the rocks. we run the creepy's and the treps here. these things just tough. they are close in actual size when mounted to.

your are right. Big geo is also right.

there is a 37 iroc and a 36 iroc. The 36's do measure to 36.8

If you have the money for Pitbulls, why not just get the Krawlers. Pitbulls are way over priced IMHO. Not a huge fan or the Iroks either. They do appear to be rounded at the edges and I do not like the lugs that far apart. I have the 36" SX grooved. Will probably go with 38 SX on my next set.

Does anybody know is there difference in 15" and 16" rim versions of 35x14.5 boggers? 15" rim version is well known to be 34" or even lower but how about 16" one? If it's real 35" or even close I will buy them to my LWB.

Maxxis measures the tires by the 1/2 inch. For example: the 35x12.50R15LT M8060 Trepador measures 34.5 inches. The 40x13.50R17LT is 39.8 inches. Every Trepador is less than the actual height listed by fractions of an inch but not less then 1/2 of the number.

and in case you need some real life numbers, here is a 40" creepy crawler measured at 10psi and no weight on the tire.
