I had one engine mount break off at the welds (passenger side), and the drivers side bushing is all worn out (ie then engine has settled down almost an inch, causing the PS pump to rub on the steering shaft). Anyone else seen these issues? I welded up the broken mount, not that big of deal, but what about the bushing. What other bushings will fit in there. I am going to Moab in 2 weeks and I am tryin to get my junk fixed up. I can call Gary on Monday and get new ones shipped, but is there something that will stand up better?

Specs on my samurai. 1.6L 8V efi engine w/5 speed manual, Kicker 3, 4.89:1 t-case. Toy axles w/ 4:10 gears. locked f/r. Was running 33's, got some 35's on it for Moab.

Yeah I'm not really happy with the welding, but that is easily fixed. I just want to find some bushing that would stand up better.

I had the very 1st design of the Petroworks engine mounts and they didn't hold up for 6 months just w/the weight of the engine sitting on them in the grage. He replaced mine w/a new golden color steel w/a green poyurethane bushing that I'm gona have to replace here soon.

I have the same thing with the green bushings. I only have 2 wheeling trips on mine.

The green bushings we have are alot easier to change our self. We just have to get Gary to send us another set. That may be like pulling a horses teeth.

I had the same problem. I called Gary and he replaced them for free, no questions. I have now been running the replacement for several months with no problems.
