: Chromo Shafts from Randy's?
reddwarf 07-15-2002, 02:08 PM Randy's Ring and Pinion has got some cheap chromo shafts now.
Anybody got REAL info about these shafts? I know they probably aren't going to be as good as Moser or Warn, but they are considerably cheaper.
Are they worth what they cost?

reddwarf 07-15-2002, 06:37 PM Ok gang, That is what I needed to know.
You usually do get what you pay for, but for over 200 bucks, I don't want some crap made in India, and CERTAINLY not in China!
Thanks again for the info
moveaside 07-15-2002, 08:33 PM What's wrong with young teenage Indian kids making high quality shafts:question:
reddwarf 07-15-2002, 08:43 PM Nothing. If you make it to your teens in India, you're doing pretty good:rolleyes:

nothing.......if they were in fact "high quality" show me proof of said quality, and I will byt them:rolleyes:   same goes for "made in china"=crap, made in japan= high quality!
moveaside 07-15-2002, 09:22 PM Call specialty parts 800-504-Jeep they'll hook you up with some Warns or whatever else you want. Companies like Randy's get to a certain size and reputation and then start buying cheap crap throwing their name(reputation) on it say its good and its nothing but crap. Haven't used them so I wouldn't know but wouldn't be surprised if they are.
JEEPRZ 07-15-2002, 10:32 PM No offense guys, but I keep seeing a bunch of heresay (sp) and little, uh, I mean NO first hand info on these. Any FACTS out there?
rocktoy4me 07-15-2002, 10:33 PM I am not siding with Randys here....but has anyone broke them or is this all just here say he said she said BS.
Everyone said the same thing when Bobby Long said he had a "super birf" that would not break and it costed haft as much as Marlins. We all laughed at first....i did. However, i have a set now.
Now....if Randys shafts really are shit....fine. Just thinking.
ain't that the truth....he said she said :) ....UPS just brought me this http://www.dreamwater.com/zuk/warnaxle.html more money than I wanted to spend but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
reddwarf 07-16-2002, 09:31 AM Ok, I'm calling Randy's

Ok here's what the guy said: he doesn't know where they're made (yeah right), but they are made by Yukon.
They have a warranty, but NOT IF THE EARS ARE BROKEN OFF!!!!
They're available for Dana 30, 44, 60 and Toyota ( Birfield eliminator kit ) if anyone is still listening at this point.
Oh yeah, and I had to hold for 12 minutes for this information.:mad3:

So reddwarf...you wanted to know if they were worth the cost....what was the cost in the first place? Nobody ever bothered to post the cost. Are they cheaper than my deal which was 549 for all 4 axles?

Are you a fawkin moron or were you not reading. We're talkin about AXLE SHAFTS not drive shafts dipshit. Last time i checked neither warn or Randys made driveshafts, and last i checked Jesse didn't make axle shafts. Optima makes some kickass batteries, but they dont help hold my front end together.
