Just found a site with loads of cool aussie 4x4 vids.
For any of you that ever wondered what the hell happens on the other side of the world.

All of them have thumbnails and are definitely worth checking out, biggest one is only 4mb so they are dialup friendly as well, also means there is no excuses for anyone with bandwidth.

Just to highlight this one it has about 10seconds of motorbikes and then it goes on to explain a very, very cool FJ40 suspension design. Using coilovers with hydraulic rams above them. You will see what I mean. get it aussie style!!

poor heathens and their dial up accounts. i have to tell you guys that i hardly pay any more for my cable modem than you do for your dialup. it is worth the extra couple bucks a month to blaze through this stuff!!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Nice vids. Do you know what the music is in the background? I might could actually keep people from falling asleep if I had music to my videos.

Oh man, that was so F'in awesome! That FJ40 just kicks all kindsa ass, I love it. Any chance I, or we, can know how that hydrualic/coil over system works?

More details on how the FJ works is sort of explained in that movie link I posted, xtremesample3 or something.

I know that is uses looooong coilovers and then instead of mounting to the frame or to a shock hoop, the top end is actually connected to a hydraulic ram. This acts as the top end, but can be moved up or down around 6-8 inches. It is all just controlled with a 12volt battery and operated from a couple of switches in the cab.

Turn the sound up and listen in this video as he explains some of it.
