scmb 07-15-2002, 10:59 PM I am sure this is a dumb ? but I'll ask it anyway. I am in the process of stuffin a 97 vortec v6 into my toyota and I want to use a sm 465. Can I use the bellhousing off of the v8 blazer to mount it to the v6? Also what clutch assembly would I want to use. The tranny is from a mid-80's Blazer and the engine is from a 97 chevy astro w/ an automatic tranny. What ever help offered is greatly appriceated, so thanks -j mnstr_fx 07-16-2002, 09:28 AM Just grab the bell housing that came with the tranny out of the Blazer. All the small block and 4.3 stuff is interchangable. Make sure you get a flywheel for the 4.3 to replace the flexplate though.
