I am currently running a 8.8 in the rear of my cherokee with moser axles but the carrier is welded. Today I blew out the carrier.

I plan to install a full spool. Since I will be eliminating the carrier with the spool and of course the c-clip then I guess I need to run c-clip eliminators.

The eliminators are basically a pressed bearing with the bolt holes to go throught the factory holes.

My question is. Is there any other modifications I will need to make or is this a simple bolt and play action. the housing has been retubbed and trussed but the width and disc brakes are factory set up.

i think you need to go with a superior 8.8 kit. or see if they will sell you just the c-clip eliminators. moser, and many other companies c-clip eliminators aren't designed for side loads from wheeling. superior is the only company that makes one for wheeling

X2, I am running a full spool in my 8.8 with the super 88 kit. I did a lot of research concerning the other c-clip eliminators and found out they will not hold up to side loads of wheeling.

Are you still running stock 8.8 ends on the retubed housing?
