Im building chassis 73, and i am getting started on putting on the misc engine items like dist, alternator, and plugs and wires. I am having trouble with the middle two plugs. they dont want to go all the way in. a couple turns then they seize up. I am also having trouble with the distributor not going all the way in? has anybody ever had these problems or is this common?

Chase the threads before you fawk them up. That 22R is FINE. Put some propane on that bitch and let her rip. And instead of having eleventy billion wires under the hood you will only have 3. No brainer to me.

x2 on the chase the threads. Easy to cross thread them in the soft aluminum.

"RE" distributor is easily recognizable as it has no advance mechanism. Will run but not very well.
