With no distractions one can really do a lot!

I went distance swimming...Lake Sammamish.

Worked on my Scout. Would like feedback...see below link...

Tried to piece together some new Chevy brake lines.

And Tied  one on.

Since I am here and posting and I can't multi-task...what are the right part numbers for the LOOOONG Chevy brake lines that will work for my 76' Dana 44 front end  The ones that I found at the parts store last night had the right bore in the mounting block and everything but....I am just not sure that they are long enough and I am too poor to keep throwing $22.00 each away!

Thanks...

Mark

These are what I used

Wagner hoses for a 4" lift info provided by Bruce Slyhouse Jr. off the IHC Digest
Front P/N F113154
Rear P/N F71342

That was on Tom Martin's site

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Napa part numbers

Front: 38510
These are from Michael Goodman.

Why are you shimming your front axle? Extended shackles? Or just to add caster? Tipping your front pinion down, puts it closer to the rocks, but not a lot.

Alumiunum shims. Yuck. (Sorry)

My aluminum shims got unhappy really fast. Kept ubolts torqued down, but the suckers kept walking on me. Real pain. But, some folks have had better luck with keeping them in place. If you have a couple extra bucks, I think a couple vendors have steel shims you could use.... They still walk, but you can tack weld them to the perches to keep them from walking.

Other than that... clean, very clean. Purty.

Not used to seeing SUA anymore though. And, where did you get those nice clean, straight spring plates ( C-channel on that side)? Mine were beat to pcs. I couldn't even get to the nuts on the ubolts when I did my SOA. Had to just cut the ubolts off....

You going to make it to Roundup?

When will you have it on the trails? We need another wheeler up here.

Hey, whatever happened to Joe Costanza?

Shimming because of taller shackles...5" center to center.

Yeah I put my lift on back in 92-93 when I was 19 so I did not have a clue what SOA was...I am tweaking the shit of this thing to try to get as much flex as I can out of the SUA...I have removed the front strap sway bar crap and took out the top retaining clips on the front and rear of the spring packs for now...should be nice and flexieee.

My brackets are not-too-beat because I trail and mud drive. I am looking at starting to venture into the rocks though and can only imagine what that will be like!

Of course I have not driven the thing regularly for about 3-1/2 years as well.

Prior engagement the weekend of Round-up....DAMMMMIN it anyway!

Yes I intend to go wheeling at least once this year...even if I have to go BANKRAUUUUPT to do it!:D

You want to flex, you are going to have to pull all your spring clamps, and then figure out a way to keep your leaves from fanning. There are some clamps out there that will work.

Too bad about roundup. It is a pretty good time.

Get it built, and get it on the trails!! ;)
