OK, You guys have convinced me that full width 60's are the way to go but I have a couple of questions.
1. What size wheel is Ideal for F250 Dana 60's ( Diameter, width, backspacing)
2. How big of a tire will I need to keep from dragging a$$ all over the place? Are 36's enough?
3.What do you all do about the rear tub if you are running 38's or larger? Just cut it and leave no flare? The front I just plan on cutting the fender flat.
4. Are 2" leaves SOA with maybe a 1" body and cutting describe earlier enough to clear 38's
5. Anything I'm not thinking of?
Thanks in advance, Be gentle <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Well if you go full width and run a 15" tire you will be WAY wide once you get wheels that will fit around those big front brakes. As for lift, I run full width axles, 38.5 SX's SOA with 2.5" springs, a little bit loonger shackle and a 2" body lift. I have tube front fenders with shackle reversal and the rear has TJ flares but the rear end is back 2" because of waggy front springs. I can push the tire into the flare just a bit. My tub has been cut also to compensate for the axle be moved backwards.

I am about half way done (maybe a bit less) with this conversion. I am doing full width 60s with 38.5 SX's. The rear we pushed back about 9 inches, and built a 4 link coil setup (adjustable height, but it will be about 8 inches over stock). The front is a spring over with 8 leaf packs made of almost a full set of stock YJ leaves. I also have a 2 inch body lift and will be cutting the front fenders completely off, and cutting the rears all the way back to the back of the tub. There will be no rear overhang. Plan ahead what you are going to do for a gas tank if you plan on extending the wheelbase. Oh yeah, I haven't figured out the wheel size thing either. I don't want to be too wide so I will probably go with 16.5's with a lot of backspacing to suck the tires back in. I would go with 16's but the tires I want are not available in a 16" size.

I have full width 60's front and rear in my Flatty, and Love it. The only problem with the Ford setup is getting a 15" wheel over the dual caliper Ford pistons. They will not fit. You are gonna have to convert to a Chevy or Dodge setup. I am sure you can make it fit if you use NO offset, but then you wil be in the 90" range width wise. I am 87" wide and love it, but I am pushing the envelope with it

Adam, what size dies do you have for your bender? I have a 1.75" dies, but it is only a 90 degree. I need to bend up a stinger and rad hoop. I have the tubing, but I do not have the right size die, Can you help me out here?

1. Don't know about Ford, but my Chevy D60 front worked just fine with 15x10's (3.5" backspacing)and some grinding on the caliper and bracket. So if you want to go 15's use Chevy brakes. For my Corporate 14 bolt full floating rear it also required som grinding on my TSM disc brakes.
2. If you are smaller than 38's then it will suck. Plan to shave them along the way (good link somewhere on www.bc4x4.com) (http://www.bc4x4.com))
3.Well I drive a TJ and narrowed the axles 4" (did the front myself - it's easy) and I just went with 7" extended flares. But can't answer for full width YJ's.
4. Don't know about that one.
