Both seem to be 23 spline. Are the NP231 and dana 300 patterns and splines the same? D300 is 23 spline as well. I am trying to interchange a 1989 YJ auto with a 1985 CJ auto....but keep the original Tcase (swapping just the trans if its the same).

the wrangler has a crank position sensor in the bell housing and the linkage is different. wrangler uses a tv cable and the other uses a rod connected to the carb
