during last years SEMA I spend about an hour drooling over this rig. So when we started this forum I emailed american racing for a few pics and spec.
just thought I would share one of my favs from sema 2007
Vehicle Theme: “ATX\O’Neil Baja-Runner” Tundra was built using components that are of the highest quality while still being readily available to the off-road and surfing enthusiast. The strategy behind building this vehicle is to combine the Off-Road knowledge, experience and products that ATX and its automotive aftermarket partners are known for with Surf, Snow and Wake Adventurer knowledge, experience and products that O’Neil is known for. Once completed this vehicle will capable of taking some of the top riders from the O’Neil team down to the far reaches of Mexico, Rocky Mountains and Backwater of Florida with the confidence that they won’t be limited by their vehicle.
American Racing ATX Wheels: This Tundra is running on the new 20x8.5 Vice Wheel Coated with Teflon®. The benefits of Teflon® include resistance to brake dust, dirt and UV degradation along with ease of maintainence which means more time getting your wheels dirty and less time cleaning them. The ATX Wheels are wrapped with 33x12.50x20 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain Tires to give the extra grip needed for hardcore exploration. Providing the suspension travel needed to reach some of the more distant spots is Camburg’s Front Coil over kit and new upper a-arms, raising the front apprx 2” and providing increased travel.

Four Wheel Campers: This pop-up camper is top of the line utilizing fiberglass siding on the outside to minimize weight while going with special gray and black Formica cabinetry to compliment the color scheme. Pop-Up the top and spread out in the full size queen bed that is up top or pull some grub out of the fridge and heat it up on the two burner stove. A Sound stream system keeps the camper in tunes no matter where you are feeding video to the 23” Phillips flat screen that can also double as a monitor for your laptop. Camper and Tundra have been fully wrapped by Spin Imaging utilizing O’Neil’s new Superfreak graphics scheme; you would never be able to tell this Tundra was born blue.

Warn Winches: In order to make sure that you don’t get stuck in the mud or if you need to fill up your tires after a sandy stretch, the Tundra was outfitted with WARN’s new powerplant winch that combines a powerfull winch with air compressor. Two Lightforce driving lights are mounted up front to make sure the Superfreak stays on the road. AMP Research retractable power steps were added to help get in and out of the truck while maintaining clean lines on the truck..

Magnaflow Exhaust: With all these extras we needed to make sure we were freeing up as much of the Tundra’s 5.7 liter I force motor and that is where the Magnaflow exhaust system came in. This completely stainless steel, mandrel-bent cat back system with polished stainless steel tips freed up +9HP and 10lbs of torque. When we bolted on the AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake the Tundra picked up another ??Hp

Yakima Racks: To keep the surfboards strapped securely to the roof we went with racks from Yakima. To make sure that everything matched up with the Superfreak theme we enlisted the services of Merzees Paint & Body to paint the bumpers, T-Rex Grill and smoke the taillights. We also enlisted the services of Desolate Motorsports in Whittier to help with putting it all together.
