Hooper...
Mark A. mentioned that you have a set of the brake hose extensions on your rig. Have you had any trouble with these? Just got off of the phone with napa and they said that they are like 11" and some change long.
I think that these might be the ticket!
Give me your input please:rolleyes:
Thanks

Work great for me. Lots of slack. Maybe too much. I use springs to hold them up away from stuff. Don't have much problem with them hitting the tire, but they do rub other stuff, a little. Driver side worse than passenger because of the bend in the hard line at the caliper, and because of the pitman arm.
But, no problems, and lots of length.... Simple, easy fix.
Another way to go, though, is to run hard line from each caliper across the front axle to a splitter, then run a single hard line from the Prop valve on down to a flexible line, in the middle of the truck that then goes to that splitter. The way the rear does. That way, you have no soft lines around your tires to worry about, and the middle of the axle moves the least, so you have less length issues to worry about. I guess you use a soft line from the caliper to the hard line fitting ont he axle, to allow for turning motion, but that can be a short length.... and won't get up around the tires.
OTOH, it is a lot more work...

Not sure about your axles and shiat. But have you read up on what worked for me??
Read here:

Somewhere on the middle of the second page it tells about what I used. And they are long enough. I've heard they're not, but I have no problems.

You have heard your line is not long enough, but you have not had any problems??? Sounds like a personal problem to me...
Actually, you are the first person I have heard of running those. Sounds like a good system, but how much total length do you get? One persons long enough is another persons too short. All depends on how much droop you get... ;)
So, your line might be too short, but since you are not droopy, you have not had any problems?? :D

Pretty funny stuff HOOP. But yes, you're right. My "long enough" may be someone elses "too short" Heck it migh even end up being my "too short" when/if I cut the clamps off the spring pack.

I can;t believe that an 11" brake line is enough..I think mine are around 22" long:eek:

the extensions are 11", that length is added to the stock lines.
I use the extensions and it makes the lines long enough to form a full loop, I use a ball bungee to loosely secure mine to the spring plates so they don't flop around or get snagged on the trail.

I don't need any extensions, my wife says mine is plenty long.

I run the Napa extensions listed on tsm1's (Tom Mandera's) website.
I thought they were a little pricey when I wrote the check but I needed them after the shock hoops to cover how far down I can droop now...love it....no brakey the brakeys.... Gotta love the 37's too...now if I can just get that PITA steering column back together with the help of some decent weather....
