Do some searching. If the rig has 4" frame rails gen-right and poly performance have some simple universal frame brackets. They are listed under the Jeep TJ suspension but would wour for anything with 4" frame rail. They are simple work fantastic.

x2!! Polyperformance has some great stuff for a do-it yourselfer. They have a kit you can get but still have to do a lot of welding... what are you planning on building?

i would like to build the whole thing from scratch so buying a kit is out of the picture. I have all the tools to fab up the brackets, tabs, and the links themselves, i just need help knowing where to put them

While I hate to give the standard Pirate response, here it goes. Buy a red star and search. It will be the best 20 bucks you'll spend. I learned pretty much everything i know about 4 links on here. I have built several now and they all work very very well. Start with the above to get the basics. Best of luck.

Yup. I thought I knew a lot... then I bought a red star. Search is your friend, best $20 I have spent in a loooong time

Good luck.

If you are really lost, search around the site and find a few build-ups of similar vehicles to the one you have in order to get an idea of exactly what you want.

Then pick the places on your vehicle where the links will fit with minimal cutting/modifications, take height/length/width measurements, and then stick those numbers into the link calculator. That will give you a starting point for reference. Play around with the calculator to see how adjusting certain criteria changes the final numbers, hopefully giving you a better understanding of how all of the links affect each other. From there, adjust link length and mounting locations until you have something with decent numbers that will fit in your rig.
