I'm in the process of pulling the t-case out of my fj60 w/ a 700r4 for a rebuild. looking at the A.A. adapter it looks like its held to the transmission w/ four 5/16 bolts. I don't have any diagrams of this adapter but it looks like if I pull these four bolts then the adapter & t-case will come right off. can anyone familliar w/ this setup confirm this? I really dont want to pull the whole tranny just to get to the t-case.
one other thing, I'm going to be ordering a rebuild kit in the morning & I think my t-case is the 34mm idler shaft version. I measured the small part of the idler shaft that sticks out the back of the case & it measured 1.315" which is aproximatley 33mm. does this sound like the 34mm type?
any tips on how to rebuild the t-case would be greatly apreciated also.
Thanks!!
