I recently have obtained a few parts and wondering how I am going to make them all work together.

-26 spline 4340 Chomoly Axle shafts
-5.12 tracker gears
-extra rear samurai third member
- (2) samurai lock rite lockers

From what I have read, the axle requires the rear samurai side gears, will i be able to use the tracker gears with this axle? Will I be able to use the lock rites? If I can use the tracker gears, what "extra" parts will need to be purchased for the installation?

You do need the rear sami side gears to use with those shafts. The stock fronts are 22 spline. You can install the tracker gears into the sami housing. Its best this way because the sami housing is steel, and is much stronger than the tracker aluminum housing. Do you have another set of 5.12's for the rear axle? If not a member allready go to www.zuwharrie.com and search for sidekick gears into sami, or something similair, and you'll find writeups, and instructions on how to install those gears, and lockers. There will be enough reading to last you a few days.

A little more detail...

I do have two front tracker third members. The lock rites are currently in the stock samurai housings. I have never looked at the inside of differential so I can not speak intelligently about gears and such. My confusion is, the "side samurai gears". I know that they are in the rear but how do I set up the front using tracker and samurai gears??? Also, are the lock rites different in the front and the back (is one for a 22 spline and the other for a 26 spline, if so will I need a new locker for the front?)

It would be greatly appreciated if a knowledgeable someone could document the detail of this install. It would be straight forward if it was just a kick third swap, but I am throwing in a 26 spline new front axle too.
