A little background: Trans is out of a 1 ton step van. Owner overheated it spewed atf out the front seal-wanted it rebuilt. Installed a full on kit, HD convertor, and a basic Transgo shift kit. Owner installed the trans and says it skips 2nd gear completely, no hesitation, goes right into 3rd. So for now he is shifting it manually and it gets second every time. Has to use it for another week before bringing it in. I thought at first it was a hangy governor-but it never has second gear starts. Anyone had this problem and fixed it-let me know how. tia.
