My SOA should begin in mid Aug. I want to plan in advance for any problems. Currently I have FC187's shackels (rear only) on my FJ40 with stock suspension. Is anyone running an SOA FJ40 with these shackles, and are there any problems I should plan for with this set-up? I currently plan on rancho rs9000 9012's, but subject to change with input from experience. I also lost FC187's instructions, and may have put the shackles on backwards  I have the pivot toward the front. As of yet I haven't been able to get them to open up.

fc ran his like that, also another guy in the group. should work fine.
You have them mounted right.
did yours come with the lockout bolts? If so you have to move these to the other bolt position to act as a limiter, to get them to open.

running stock springs and shocks for now. in about a month. I'll have stock springs, and RS9000's in SOA configuration.

Can't get the pic small enough to post. Trying to see if I may have installed them backwards.

When I was running FC's shackles they would open a bit, but my shocks were limiting them a lot. I would definitely look at your shocks first, try taking the shocks off and twisting it up. See if it's any better, if so get some new shocks.

That (the shocks) is what I was thinking, now I am sure. I just wanted to get a few opinions before the SOA work starts. I was thinking about removing them, but most likely will leave them.
