So i went to the local auto parts store to get sum LEDs for my turn signals for my new bumper. One of the parts guys told me that i would burn up the flasher relay if i used the LEDs. Is this true?

Never seen one burn, but you will need a solid state flasher for LEDs. There about $20.00.

I put the poison spyder led's in my yj and the turn signals only stayed on until I bought a low resistance flasher.

Unless you have an incandescent bulb in the circuit, LEDs, by themselves, will not draw enough current to trip the (thermal) relays in typical turn signal flashers. You need to go with a solid state flasher that is not dependent on the current load. Several places have them, I got mine from TMI (http://usaled.com/?mainURL=/store/category/aoab/EL98_and_EL98N_LED_Turn_Signal_Flasher_Relays.html )in Michigan for ~$15/ea. (You will need one for your turn signals and another for the 4-way emergency flashers.)

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. The Guy at the auto parts store said that it would not work at all.
