I am new here and wanted to pass along some info.
My name is Casey Huie...KC on this board.
I live in Benton, AR and have owned my 1980 FJ40 since '99.
I bought the cruiser from an old TLCA guy Pat Bowen in Little Rock. Pat did alot of the mods and I've taken on a few as well. I'm running the 2f and stock tranny and tcase for now. The 2f has alot of performance mods like a header, weber carb and k&n, dui dist. etc. I've got a factory york converted for on board air. Running 4.88's, front and rear lockers, shackle reversal, ps, cage, warn 8274. I've got a couple of sets of tires, BFG 35x12.5 km's and 35x14.5 Boggers. It has been a great rig for me.
My immediate plans are to pull a 4.3 vortec, 4l60e, and computer from a '97 GMC Sonoma that I recently picked up and swap it into the 40. Big job and I'm in waaaay over my head.
My wife drives a stock 1998 Landcruiser, her 2nd one(had a '94).
I am the newly elected prez. of the local TLCA chapter, The Razorback Landcruisers. We just had our 3rd annual Razorback Ramble In Hot Springs, AR this past June.
I dig this board.
enuf for now,
KC
