A few of us in Moscow are planning on heading up to the Moyie mud bogs for the first time this weekend. Who else is going?

Nice truck! That could do the sand hill climbs just fine.

Can we come up and camp friday evening, or is it saturday only?
Is it easy to find?

Friday through Sunday. There is a map on the www.mudallica.com website. Click on Moyie. Free camping. Pretty sure it's $20 per person. It can get crowded at the spring bog. The earlier you get there the better campsite you will find. Some people start setting up this week.

Missing it this year as I recently moved to MT from North Idaho. Gonna miss it... the best way to describe Moyie Springs Mud Bog... the biggest hillybilly shit-show I have ever seen! I've had some great times up there, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Be safe and have fun!

Usually it's both nights, never heard anything different.
Follow Hwy. 2 to the East and take the LEFT at the first gas station/c-store you come to. If there aren't signs... follow the mud/dirt tracks down the gravel road and you'll most likely come to a line of rigs.

Yeah, I don't blame you for wanting to stay out of the pit. It's kind of a free for all. But, it has improved over the years.

Quick report for those who didn't go. I made the 120 mile trip up in my Tacoma and found a place to park. Lot's of others were there too, maybe 5 thousand. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b89/willysworker/wheredyoupark-1.jpg
I didn't see the Power Giant's Power Wagon(should have been hard to miss) but I saw the white suzuki and the crewchief's rock buggy. Also lot's of strange stuff, like this 6x6 hearst

Lot's of your "run of the mill" rigs which I didn't photograph, and a few stand outs I did, here's a Toy on rockwells http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b89/willysworker/toyonrockwells.jpg
Anyway, It was an interesting afternoon with much to look at like the sweet long blonde hair girl riding in a red Jeep. The dips**t she was with threw here in the mud bog.
So anyway, it was looking like rain and nearby lodging,

wasn't looking good. So I only stayed about 5 hrs. but it was fun.

Hmmm, thought that Toy had rear-steer as well?

I saw the power wagon being towed with a broken driveline and more V8 toyotas than I ever knew existed. My power steering started shooting fluid out somewhere collected a couple dents up in the ravine and killed about 60 Key lights and a bottle of Canadian LTD. Definitely an awesome time
