I just installed some slugs and 35 spline stubs in my 60. the slugs tera flex and not have away to secure the the shafts tight in to the spindels like hubs do. should I find a way to shim this and put a snap ring on or will it be fine?

It would be good to keep mud and snow out of the back side. It needs those seals to be pulled up tight to keep junk from working it's way in back there.... I know guys will cut a piece of tube to use as a shim. I would imagine 1.75 OD roll cage tubing would work.
