I have seen this before- but dont like the set up. It uses the stock bell crank in the front. There is more tie rod ends to wear out and get sloppy. Lastly in a V8 FJ40 it would get tight on the left side with this set up. Bottom line you can put a saginaw set up in for the same price or less, so why monkey around with extra linkage.

Yeah, A guy up here has something similar on his 40, Its a waste...Has too many parts that can be easily not used by useing a stronger setup like saginaw...

i did that to mine, it works great !!! the power part anyway, mine cost nothing since i had the stuff, thats why, i wanted power and the price was right. it works great in a pinch but still has all the wander and freeplay of the original set-up, its just easier to steer now. i do have a saginaw pump running the toy box though, and plan in the future to go toy IFS box rather than saginaw.
BTW it wont get any tighter on a v-8 than the stock non-power box, except for the lines its the excact same size.
if you want power now, cheaply, while you save or collect parts for the better set-up do it,,,, it will drive the same as now but will be power.
P.S. wanna trade some power parts for the locker??

That is the JT Outfitters set up. Works great for a near stock truck running 33 or less.
Great for the guy that has a basic FJ and is tired of armstrong steering. Not great for big tires or hard core wheeling.
I considered it before I decided to go FJ60 steering.

I ran that setup for about 2 years, it cost about $100. With 31's it was fine, but when i got 35" boggers, it really sucked. So i went with the sag. route, using an AGR box instead. My current setup w/AGR cost about $600, but it works awesome and i am running 39.5's now. Bottom line - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...
