Get that thing as far away as possible consider it explosive.

I'm kidding but the axle is pretty weak, be gental with the skinny pedal and carry spares at all times. (including mall trips)

When you have the coin, upgrade it to something with more beef.

Read the Jeep Talk Mission Statement and realize that the questions you asked are not allowed here.

Do some lurking, do some searching, and you will learn. In the interim, don't clog the boards with gobbly gook like this.

Why do people do this? I see it on every board, everywhere I go & with every guy that I talk to about his lifted truck or jeep. The question I always ask is what did ya do to the axles and they always look at me all confused. People always have to get the bigger tires first that their rig can't handle & then start posting crap like this. Get your ducks in a row & take care of the drivetrain before you jump up in tires.:nuke: :jeep: :nuke:

Eh...its their rigs not yours. Let them do what they want! :flipoff2:

Anyways...people...search these things come on....please.

And for your question:

The Dana 35 will not hold up, I won't go into the reasons why. Just go get a 9" or a D44 or a D60 from a junkyard and weld your brackets to it.

Or if you have lotsa money and dont know how to fab then go buy some Dynatrac/Tera/Currie axles. :flipoff2:

I agree about the axles. I bought a locker for the Dana 30. Now I want to go to at least 35's, which would require regearing. Then the Dana 35 would just be waiting to go :nuke: SO I figure why not take the money that I would waste on the almighty Super 35 and front hub converision and dump it into some axles that can hold up. Wish I could go to Dana 60's, but it just isn't in the cards right now, but one of these days they will be.

Plan on spending some money axles are costly. Doesn't sound like you can build your own(you should learn) but until then call them get a Dynatrac/Tera/whatever have them install and at the bare minimum you won't be another dumb fawker breaking on the trails in your sissygirl axle with 35's. Nothing wrong with breaking but if you can't fix it yourself and could've avoided it do us all a favor and get your rig ready. And anyone thinking of flaming who has a super 35 don't. I don't even want to hear it.

Yes, the 9" will work. Stock TJ is 59"... and a 1970 Mustang is 59.25". Just beware... that axle is made of thinnest housing material and uses the small bearing... also read as a LIGHT DUTY AXLE.

Damn, I go and fix my Jeep, Buy some stuff for it, Play with it and the rest of my toys, Staying away from the computer, Because its summer......

And you guys turn into raving assholes... WTF?

A bit of sarcasm is ok, But wholy fuck! the guy asks a question because he knows the Dana 35-c will nuke, and you get all nuts on him.

Yea the search button is cool. But a direct question is cool too.

You dont think that all the "girly pics" isn't wasting space?

He just didn't realize that he would have to spend all day reading all the useless bantering about how someone else should have searched first... Every fawking post about a 30 or a 35-c has the same content, and all that content is us "SENIOR" members telling the newbies to use the search. But none of us seem to offer up any good advise on how to fix the 30-35c's

Well here is my advise. It will break even with 33" tires.
Mine NUKED 7 ARB's before I grew a brain and built a REVERSE cut Dana 44.

Advise, Make me an offer on my RR 44. :D At least $4,500 and I will upgrade it to a RR 60... But I wont sell it without enough money to get a RR60. :D

Good luck in your search for the answer. Between all the BS.

No.............. if he'd asked a question that was something other than a "I haven't thought much about this please tell me what to do" he woulda gotten a better initial responce. Then his replies further condemned him to be flamed. Reminds me of those old dittys about a traveller asking a local for directions then asking the local "you're not all that smart are you?" The locals responce "No, but I'm not lost." Get it?

moral of the story... dont ask open ended questions, put some thought into it. Do some searching, at least try.. most things have been talked about. Some beaten like a dead horse. and something ya shoulda learned at a young age, dont piss off people you want help from
