I have been considering an expidition type setup for some time, my concerns are:
1. Comfort for me, my wife, and daughter
2. Able to spend a couple of months in it.
3. Size, how can I get all 3 of us, our stuff etc. packed in and easy to get to, in a vehicle small enough to explore with?
4. Durability? Will it hold up to off road use/abuse?
5. Economy, both purchase price and fuel use.
Right now I'm thinking of this setup:
A class A motorhome, with a trailer similar to this:

My current TJ, a nice 18' jet boat, and instead of a UTV, an off road camping trailer to tow behind the Jeep. I could switch what I load for different trips, in the winter I could load my snow mobiles on top and my Jeep underneath for example. I figure I could set up "Base Camp" with the Motor Home, and use the Jeep/ small trailer for short 1-2 day trips into the back country, while not beating everything in the motorhome up.
