i have an 85 4runner with the auto trans and its a dog so i was wondering what 5 spd should i be looking for? ive heard the w56 is a pile but thats all that will work on my truck so any help would be great

Use the W56, many people run it and dont have a problem with it...I swapped my auto and I gained 4-5 miles per gallon(still semi-daily)not to mention the dual cases I added!!! Needless to say, I'm happy with my decision to swap it out..

You can run a W56 or a G52/54.
