One week from today, I'll be heading down for the competition. Hopefully Syko will have his tur....uh, his Jeep ready so that we can 'GET IT'.

Already got my reservations at the Best Western, so that's set.

SpaceGhost mentioned something about trying to get the POR guys together on Friday night at ?brenners? (something of the sort) for dinner. Anyone up for that?

The prerequisite sound off! I am planning to arrive Thursday late pm. Damn GOP golf outing is that afternoon. Haven't called BW, so might be sleeping in my truck, lol.

Bigdude, the rump ranger of the sport mentioned buddy's bbq for dinner Friday. I countered with Buckners, so post your preference and be there! I got a single round of beers when we get there, so don't be trying to milk my ass for more!

Buckner's sounds good. Just remember that at the drivers meeting Friday the ERoCC organizers tell EVERYONE to go there. It's going to be really crowded. Perhaps the guys that won't be at the drivers meeting can head over early and get a large enough area for the PBB members.

looks like Ill be down there spotting rather than spectating!!!

Bobby (RockJeep) has invited me to spot for him. I think it's gonna be fun as hell! Only slight problem is that neither of us have ever really been on rocks before:D:D:D

I think we have both donw our fair share of just general purpose offroading but nothing like EROCC!

We'll see how it goes!

Competitors... if I may make a suggestion. At the last event, if you didn't notice how cramped the parking was at the Best Western, well... if you didn't notice, your blind. The Jellico Motel, across the interstate, actually has a larger parking lot, and is the same price as the Best Western. It's also setup to be more bull$heit friendly for parking lot tire kicking sessions.

We ate down at Buckner's on Saturday... the girls are REAL excited about ya'll coming back in town. Most of the girls at Buckner's said that they would be stopping out at the competition on Saturday or Sunday.

As for the Stuckey's... there is no Stuckey's in Jellico. It may look like a Stuckey's and smell like a Stuckey's, but just because they sell fudge inside doesn't make them a Stuckey's. Besides, I thought I saw you walkin' away from the Texaco packin' fudge? :flipoff2:

Most of us have eaten there multiple times. I'm not saying it's a 5 star restaurant but it is about the best that town has to offer

I don't know what you ordered, but I've only gotten 1 or 2 bad meals there... out of the 100+ that I have probably eaten there.

With that said, by all means, go to the Pizza Shack... in fact, EVERYONE should go to the PIZZA PLACE!!!! :D

Yes it is.. VERY SLOW. I was in Jellico this past weekend, and I reminded the girls SEVERAL times that we were going to be down there beginning on Friday night. Hopefully it will be better this go around. They were caught off guard last time, I think.

I just saw a man that is involved with the EROCC, and he said that Durham may unveil a new rig at this event. No, not the aluminum one he kept out west but a new one because he messed that one up pretty bad at one of the RCAA events. Can anyone elaborate on this? See you in Jellico with :beer: in hand.

Well here's the news since you're curious.

Chris is going to run his new rig in this event. It will be his first competition with it but he's been out in it and it works well.

His original unlimited rig for ERoCC (the J-10 that he won RCAA with) will be donning a set of 36s and running the legends class. It will be driven by his friend.

Sounds like the legends class is will have a good number of competitors this time :D

I was at Chris's shop looking for spindles for mine and got a chance to check the new one out. I'll just say, if it works as good as it looks, Ken better look out... very well designed and very light.
