this is a dumb question but can you put a 4 speed tranny out of a f 150 or something in a early bronco to get around the stupid ass aftermarket 3 speed floor shifter crap???can't fit my damn leg between the steering wheel,shifter and use the gas pedal....??????:mad3:

There is also this great shifter if you go with the New Process 435. http://www.ironbender.com/products.htm

Get an NP435 from a 78-79 bronco.
Take it all, with the 205 T-case.
Make a new crossmemeber and slap that combo in.

Easily. Yea, one of my eb's has that 3 -speed on the floor and I know what you mean about not having any leg room. Eventually, I'll be putting in an np-435 and fabbing up a shifter much like what ironbender sells. Allthough it won't look as nice as his, his is the bees knees :D For the time being I just bent the shifter arm over to the right and beveled the aftermarket housing for it and that gave me plenty of room.
