I was looking for that post on it earlier but it's gone
anyways i'm trying to find out how much lift is obtained from going to these rear leaf springs on a EB? also what were the specifics on the vehicle to get them from again? thanks

The amout of lift depends on the length and angle of the shackle. Using Bent & Twisted brackets, a 6" long shackle at 45* angle you will get about 6.5" of lift.

I'm not sure of all the years but I do know that 78/79 F150/Bronco springs will work.

Good luck!

70-something (I think '73) through 96 springs are all the same length. Rumor is that some of the F100s got 2-1/2" packs (I haven't seen them personally), but all of them should be the same size.

The number and thickness of the leaves will vary from truck to truck.

broncoII are alot softer and give about 3.5-4.5" lift. I wouldn't recomend them if you carry anything in the back.

I swapped those for some 150's off a 85ish 150.
These have a slightly stiffer rate and higher arch. They gave me about 5.5" of lift or so. But they can handle more weight which is what I was after.

I believe once 87' came around and the change the body style of the 150 they went to 3in. wide springs. Well at least mine is that way.

your not stuck with F150 either I just swaped the main pack {no overloads} From an F250 into my 79 Bronco I havn't driven it yet but sofar they seem to be the same. Visualy the main pacs are the same for all 3 1,2,350 it's just the overloads that differ. And if you think about it it makes sence. unloaded the trucks all weigh the same. Add some weight and it drops to the overloads and stops.

My experience has been the 2x4 springs are 2.5" wide and the 4x4 springs are 3 inch wide. You have to use the 3" springs with the B&T hangers. Also I never could find 57" long leafs like Mike siad to use. Only about 54" is what I came up with. I used a 6 inch shackle and it sits level with 3.5" WH coils and a coil pivot which is about another 2.75".
