Figured I'd add a little more tech to this side of Pirate :D I installed this kit about this time last year and it's been great! Haven't used it yet but I'm sure it won't fail on me. I purchased the kit because you save about 500 bucks by doing it yourself.
Step 1: Pieces

Step 2: Test fit
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c259/generalee7/Picture268.jpg
Problem: I have a sun roof with a latch right in the center of the roof
Solution: I had a 1.5"x.120 wall shock hoop in the garage :D
Step 3: Test fit again

Step 4: Rip your interior out, I don't have pictures since this is pretty self explanatory :D
Step 5: Tack together inside the truck

In the picture of step 5, you can see the sleeves resting over the outside tubes (the tubes close to your head). I will drill holes in these later and bolt the cage together. From this point, all I had to do was make a cut in the center roof support in front of the hoop to undo the cage into 2 pieces so I could remove the entire thing to fully weld every joint.
Step 6: Remove from truck again and fully weld. I added a few extra braces for shits and giggles :D

Genuine Toyota cage

At this point I had to make sure the sleeves that held the cage together and allowed me to remove the cage from the truck were free sliding back and forth so I didn't have any issues. Unfortunately, after installing a couple gussets and fully welding, it distorted the cage a little so I busted out the hi-lift to *massage* it back into place.
Step 7: Paint!

I think somewhere between these steps, I drilled all the holes in the sleeves. You can't see it but there are 2 sleeves at the bottom of the B pillar hoop too as well as the 3 up top.
Step 8: Put your interior back together
Step 9: Install cage into truck

Step 10: Padding; A MUST!

Step 11: Drive away feeling very safe :)
Feel free to ask any questions! This install took me an entire weekend working 12 hours both days because the truck is my daily driver and I drive to school every week :)

No problem Brian! I figured if people here use their Tacomas to their full potential, it would always be better to have a cage to protect themselves :D

While I don't have that cage, it is a great security feature to have when running the hard stuff. The problem with mine is that it negated the back seats so I will be selling my cage and having another built.

Was yours the ORS or a custom one? I need the use of my rear seats and will either custom build my own or buy their's if the seats are still useable.

I believe Tim's cage is from Essentially Off Road

Mike is correct-
Mine is from Essentially Off Road. The rear support brace can be cut out to use the back seat. I am building a new cage that goes through the dash and doesn't hurt leg room or back seat access. I will post it in the for sale section as soon as I get it out of the truck.

Nice job. Did you just run four bolts through the floor at each foot plate location ?
