Nanuk 10-13-2001, 04:29 AM Yep, he has maxed out the number of allowed cool toys and benders.
I need to inform you that you must give some of them up.
When can I come get them.
VERY cool bender.
Please do post info, etc.
SweetCJ7 10-13-2001, 05:03 AM Nice! Do any of the wheels lock? Or is that an issue?
trailtoy 10-14-2001, 10:47 PM Thanks guys for all of your replies. I am thinking about selling them if there is a market( as a matter of fact we have had company approach us about selling them)The bennder will bend up to 3" chromoly .120 wall. the head assembly is made up of 4" x .75 cold roll and the pivot arm is made up of 3"x .5 cold roll, so the bender is plenty strong. I do not want to post cost as I don't want to break any rules of the board. the casters do let it roll but it doesn't seem to move at all when bending. As far as the toys, they other projects and future projects of my friends, this is just the part of the shop we store and assembly.
Thanks for your post please keep the coments coming.

trailtoy 10-15-2001, 05:10 PM Okay, the price of the bender will be sold throught the company that wants to sell them for me is $3500.00 (minus dies)FOB PHX. I will work up a special for the POR members that are interested. Please give me a day or so, as this is a second job for me.
Thank all of you for the interest, please keep the comments comming.

bobaki 10-15-2001, 05:21 PM shop is way too big + clean very nice
SwampTJ 10-15-2001, 05:59 PM Hmmm, could an electric conduit bender(sidewinder) be used to bend tubing. You can bend up to 2.5" conduit on it.
weldpro 10-15-2001, 11:04 PM Whoa brother Stay away from the "product marketers" you will lose cash in the long haul plus the price will have to stay high to keep the P-M happy> I doubt they they could create demand , and sell more than what you could yourself with alittle leg work. Try Ebay as a instant marketing tool a patent would be advisable as well.
Now for a question:
tell me why your bender is a better buy than say a JD2 model 4 (not the 3) That bender could be had complete(minus dies of course) for $1490 if you forgo the hand control(which is cool), and it'll do 2 3/8, and What a nice degree wheel. That bender just seems like the best value I have seen especially when you consider making a JD2 model 3 or Pro tools Mod 105 into Hydrualic could put you over a grand!
You obviously do nice work your bender looks sweet but I need some convincing as to why it could be better , and some price justification also.

trailtoy 10-15-2001, 11:42 PM WELDPRO
Thanks for the advise. Have a couple of company's have aproach us but not sure what to do. As i said this is a second job it is hard to pound the streets and build the product at the same time. As fare as what make's this bender diffrent from the others I am not sure have never used the mentioned modle benders, I have used Hossfield and M-tech benders for doing production on custom motorcyles and sand toys. Have had to reinforce these benders and tried to take this knowledge to build a better and more relialbe bender. This bender will be more of a production type bender and not a hobby type bender. As far as specs i will post them as I get in order what everyone is asking for.
Thank you for your input this is a valubale part of this process.

AtomicBeesting 10-15-2001, 11:46 PM Looks good. Where at in Glendale? Maybe we are neighbors and I can come use that bender
Shaker 10-16-2001, 05:13 AM I gotta give you credit it looks very nice and to be able to bend 3in. is impressive! The $$$ is a little too steep for my wallet. Looks like I'm gonna have to stick with my hunka-junka JD2 for now. I will give you credit VERY VERY VERY nice! GET PATENT QUICKLY to cover your "butt" in the long run. Don't let the "suits" steal another guys "invention"....
Nice, but the price seems a little steep compared to similar benders with the hydro option... You may want to compare prices with the models mentioned - you may find it is not worth your time to build them (I know it can be hard to compete sometimes with bigger operations).
